About this video

This film is an overview of the partnership between Alva Primary School and a range of agencies in Clackmannanshire which worked together to improve the local environment.

With the support of countryside rangers and other specialists, pupils raised brown trout from eggs using a hatchery installed within their classroom. The fish were then released into the nearby River Devon.

This enterprise activity highlights ways that interdisciplinary experiences help learners to develop the four capacities of Curriculum for Excellence.
