
The Association for Science Education is a national organisation with 17,000 members.
Its strapline is: 'Promoting Excellence in Science Teaching and Learning'.
The Association achieves this objective through CPD programmes, organising conferences and meetings, publishing journals and books and supporting websites.
The Association works in partnership with governments, industry, local authorities and other agencies to produce support materials and activities for science teaching at all levels.
It was recently awarded the Royal Charter and now the ASE Chartered Science Teacher Award, which is a Masters level award.
