The Department of Sport, Culture and the Arts, of the University of Strathclyde, provides a variety of courses and services for teachers in the area of outdoor learning. Most notably we run the very popular Responsibility and Learning in the Outdoors module for both the Chartered Teacher programme and the Modular Masters (Advanced Professional Studies) programme. The department can offer a wide variety of CPD opportunities, in particular for teachers interested in gaining extra credits for the Framework for Professional Recognition scheme or simply for those wishing to learn more about the exciting world of outdoor learning.

We also run team-building and leadership courses on either a programmed or demand basis for school staff teams and can provide advice, consultancy or research facilities for schools and individuals. In addition we run our own undergraduate and postgraduate courses for initial teacher education and generic sports and outdoors interests.
