Fairbridge has almost 25 years of experience in re-engaging with young people in Scottish cities that other organisations have found too challenging to work with. Our work spans many social problems and attempts to help young people address numerous barriers to their development.

Each year we offer over 700 young Scots at the sharpest end of society a holistic package of support and skills development through a wide range of informal learning activities.

For our young people, realising potential starts with realising you have it. To achieve that requires two things: someone to tell you that you have ability and an opportunity to prove it to yourself and to others.

So put it quite simply, we offer young people a combination of long-term personal support and challenging activities in the most disadvantaged areas in Scotland.

Our goal is simple: to give young people the motivation, confidence and skills they need to change their own lives.

Our Under-16 programmes are designed for young people who are finding mainstream education difficult. The programmes aim to re-engage young people in a meaningful way with mainstream education while working in partnership with schools and other relevant agencies. Our 16 Plus programmes are also concerned with supporting young people back into education through referral to colleges and training providers.
