Actaexperientia is a training/consultancy company based in Scotland that deals with active experiential learning, education and leadership in the outdoors, both nationally and throughout Europe.
Wim Chalmet and Irene Bews, founders, of “Actaexperientia”, are specialists in this field. Both hail from practical teaching/experiential learning backgrounds. Our courses are designed to be accessed by staff (through CPD) who wish to explore experiential methods as a means of enhancing their teaching and transferring this experience back into the workplace and into their pupils’ learning.
Crucially, the process of active participation, reflection and review not only offers practical experiential learning methods to be tried with students but encourages greater self/personal awareness and discovery on the part of the teacher too.
We are working in partnership with Aberdeen University to deliver “active leadership” accredited modules for Msc, Chartered Teacher, and Headteacher/Faculty Heads, jointly taught by ourselves and the University as well as formulating Leadership for Young People programmes.
