SQA Star Awards

The SQA Star Award for Innovation

This category is open to all SQA centres. These awards will be presented to centres who can demonstrate not only good practice, but also the incorporation of innovative initiatives into their delivery of SQA qualifications. Some areas you might like to consider are:

  • approaches to assessment or quality assurance
  • use of new technology 
  • using or creating links and partnership approaches to delivery 
  • approaches for involving community and voluntary groups in delivery 
  • using or creating European or international links to enhance delivery 
  • business growth through innovative use of qualifications

Or anything else you would like to tell us about!

Guidelines for writing your submission

The judges will be looking for innovative initiatives that:

  • have been sustained over a period of time and which will continue into the foreseeable future
  • have been evaluated
  • can show quantifiable benefits
  • are integrated into the curriculum
  • are not common practice

Winners will receive a trophy.

You might find it helpful, when preparing your nomination, to look at the winning nomination for the SQA Star Award for Innovation 2008.
