How to book
All visitors must register to attend the Scottish Learning Festival 2008.
There are three ways you can register:
| a) Browse and book seminars Browse the conference programme online, add seminars to your wish list and then book. | b) Fast-track booking Already know which seminars you want to book? Go to the fast-track booking page. | c) Exhibition only If you don’t want to book seminars, you can register to attend the exhibition only. |
Follow the guidelines for each option listed below.
Browse and book seminars
Step 1
Browse seminars in the conference programme from the search page or timetable, till you find seminars that interest you. Keynotes and spotlight seminars are included in both lists, and are identified by icons.
The title for each seminar will link to further details and booking facilities for that session.
Once you have found a seminar that you wish to attend, click the title and add it to your wish list. To add seminars to your wish list, click the link named ‘Add seminar to wish list’ located on the right-hand side of page. The wish list will allow you to select as many sessions as you want.
The seminars you add to your wish list will display on the right-hand side of the page while you continue to browse seminars.
Step 2
Once you have completed your selection, go to 'View wish list' link on the right-hand side of the page.
However, before you confirm your booking, you must ensure that you have chosen a maximum of two keynotes and two seminars or spotlights for each day.
Although you are limited to four choices per day through the booking system, extra tickets for available free spaces will be obtainable on the day at the seminar ticket desk inside Hall 4.
Step 3
Select the 'Book now' button on the right-hand side of the page. If any of your choices are fully booked, you will be asked to choose an alternative seminar. If any of your choices have time clashes, you will be notified and asked to choose between these seminars.
Step 4
You will then be asked to complete personal details (unless you have already logged in). Your registration will then be confirmed by email, which will provide you with confirmation of your seminar choices.
Fast-track booking
Step 1
Go to the Fast-track booking page and enter the booking codes and select 'Add to wish list'.
Step 2
Select 'Book now'. If any of your choices are fully booked, you will be asked to choose an alternative seminar.
Step 3
You will then be asked to complete contact details. Your selection will then be confirmed by email, which will provide you with details of your seminar choices.
When you register for seminars, you are automatically registered to visit the exhibition.
Exhibition only
If you don’t want to book seminars, you can register here to attend the exhibition only.
