The National Archives of Scotland holds historical records created by government, businesses, landed estates, families, churches and other corporate bodies dating from the 12th century onwards. Find out about the history of Scotland and its people from the Wars of Independence to the Second World War. Design a wanted poster for William Wallace; study a selection of medieval documents and seals; investigate the lives of Mary, Queen of Scots and her son, King James, and research Scottish servicemen who fought in both world wars.
