Seminar Description

There is a growing interest in International Education highlighted by publications such as "An International Outlook", "How Good is Our School: International Education" and "The Global Dimension in the Curriculum". The Scottish Executive has asked LTS to organise and deliver a series of Masterclasses in International Education for practitioners in Scottish schools.

This seminar will provide an opportunity to learn more about the importance of International Education within the context of the Curriculum for Excellence and the development of SSDN. The philosophy which underpins the Masterclass approach will be explained and it will also provide an opportunity to learn about what is being planned over the next two years and how it will be delivered.

Speaker biography

John Christie works as an education consultant in the UK providing support and advice in the public sector. He has helped to develop the Virtual Staff College Scotland since its inception in 2002 and now works as its part-time Director.
