Student Teachers and ICT in the Classroom

Seminar DateWednesday 21 September

Seminar Description

There is now a professional requirement for student teachers to be or become proficient in the use of ICT. Various initiatives within the faculties of education support student teachers in this process. The nature of ICT provision in schools varies enormously and this can be bewildering for the student teacher, especially those on the one-year postgraduate courses. This seminar seeks to explore the adequacy of these faculty initiatives, especially with reference to the interface between faculty and school, by drawing on the experiences of student teachers and constructing an evaluative tool to inform future practice.
