The SchoolsOut project aims to provide an opportunity for children with interrupted learning (and their families) to re-engage with education provision through the use of ICT and web technologies. It is hoped that local authorities will commission and fund their own customised versions of SchoolsOut, with LT Scotland providing central support; consultancy on learning resources; and technical guidance. Access to online collaboration and communication tools, and online learning services, is being provided by the Scottish Schools Digital Network.
