The Scottish Learning Festival, previously known as the Scottish Education and Teaching with Technology (SETT) was launched in 2000 and originally focused on ICT in education. Since then it has evolved and diversified and in 2006 became the all encompassing Scottish Learning Festival (SLF).
It is now the pivotal event in the education calendar, inspiring better teaching and learning, and helping to create a confident teaching profession for the 21st century.
SLF 2010 saw the most successful event to date topping the resounding success of 2009, with even more seminars, exhibitors, pupil involvement and visitors than ever before.
The main theme for this year’s event was Curriculum for Excellence: Enhancing Experiences, raising Standards. Each of the sessions in the conference programme was aligned to one or more of these themes.
In 2010, over 6500 people visited over the two days.
