Professional learning communities are an increasingly important mechanism for providing support to staff working in the field of International Education.

This seminar aims to:

• Set international education in context as a key embedded element within Curriculum for Excellence

• Highlight the professional learning communities existing which support international education

• Outline some examples of the work undertaken by these communities

• Hear the stories of members of the professional learning community.

Speaker biographySeconded to Learning and Teaching Scotland as a National Development Officer for International Education, Lisa has a background in Modern Languages, Citizenship and Enterprise education. Lisa works with professional learning communities in international education and citizenship to promote mutual support and sharing of practice.
