| Seminar Description | In this session delegates will hear how a sample of Angus schools were supported through a pilot project to address the practical challenge of establishing a 'common language and understanding' around skills for learning, life and work. The pilot project provided guidance and support CPD to help schools define a skills vocabulary, plan for, assess and profile skills progression to build a secure and consistent understanding of progress between and across transitions. The workshop will exemplify how staff developed their current practice to give a greater focus to the planning and profiling of pupils' skills development. Teachers involved in the pilot now have increased confidence in the use of Higher Order thinking skills which now supports work around breadth, challenge and application of learning within the context of BTC5. |
