Opportunities for learning and teaching within a new framework

CodeL2I
Seminar DateThursday 25 September
Start Time14:00
Duration45 minutes
Seminar Description

Professional Advisers from Scottish Government with practising headteachers will describe the new framework and demonstrate how they have begun to implement this in their schools and establishments.

They will describe their vision for their establishments and the steps they have taken so far in providing opportunities for young people to become successful learners, confident individuals, responsible citizens and effective contributors through the four contexts for learning.

Kelly Street Children’s Centre, Inverclyde Council, will be presenting information regarding their involvement in trialling the new draft outcomes for Technology. Examples of these will be shared with justifications for choosing these particular outcomes. Evidence of the impact on children’s learning will be given. We will explain how the technology outcomes fit well into the 3-5 Curriculum outcomes from a Curriculum Framework document.

These sessions will draw on examples of practice which highlight how some schools have gone about ensuring their children and young people have had opportunities to develop and engage with the four capacities outlined in Curriculum for Excellence.

The C.P.D. arrangements which have been developed to ensure that members of staff are engaged in this implementation programme will also be discussed.
