| Seminar Description | Managing Change and Making ConnectionsDetermined to Succeed sits firmly at the heart of Curriculum for Excellence. Embracing enterprise in education and working towards fully embedding this approach allows leaders within schools to explore innovative ways of delivering the school curriculum.
The approaches to embedding the 4 key strands of Determined to Succeed within the curriculum in two schools (one primary and one secondary) will be showcased: - interesting and innovative practice
- courses and programmes which demonstrate an enterprising approach
- Inter-disciplinary studies
How these affect the whole-school ethos and enable individual achievement will be exemplified by presenters and practitioners from the schools. Both schools aspire to deliver Curriculum for Excellence to educate the whole child in preparation for the opportunities that life offers them. Delegates attending the seminar will be given an opportunity, through Glow, to raise questions for the presenters, prior to the Learning Festival. These questions will be addressed on the day. Through this innovative approach, it is hoped that the session will meet the needs of all attendees. |
