| Seminar Description | Every day, teaching staff face the challenge of finding new and more imaginative ways to teach that stimulate and inspire their pupils. With the advent of Curriculum for Excellence comes the additional challenge of thinking differently about how to deliver the curriculum. Greater freedom to deliver the curriculum brings along with it the greater challenge of how this will be achieved. There are many options open to educators to use this freedom to greater effect by incorporating interactive technologies into their teaching. However, it can be a struggle to do this in a practical and simple way. These 45-minute sessions will illustrate how teachers can make more of their SMART Board interactive whiteboards. The sessions are designed to arm educators with practical ideas about how to incorporate interactive technologies into teaching to make learning enjoyable. Each session is delivered by a practising teacher, one primary and one secondary, and offers the opportunity to see how the teachers interact with their pupils whilst using SMART products. Attendees will then be given an insight into the creation of the resources and how their use meets the requirements of the Curriculum for Excellence.
