Seminar Description

The first tranche of Schools of Ambition are nearing the end of their transformational journey.

They have much to share with their colleagues in the area of putting the Curriculum for Excellence into action.

Using a combination of leavers and improvement strategies to enable change management, such as distributed leadership, innovative learning and teaching, curriculum structures, Schools of Ambition have transformed the life chances of their pupils.

They are in prime positions to fully embrace the opportunities presented by Curriculum for Excellence, achieving the four capacities within the framework of the seven purposes of education and the ten dimensions of education.

Speaker biography

Speakers will be drawn from the first tranche of Schools of Ambition who are nearing the end of their transformational journey.

Schools which best demonstrate the practical application of the conference themes will be chosen to present their work. These will follow on from national conferences to be held in June.
