| Seminar Description | Many schools are progressing with the development of detailed plans for the delivery of the senior phase. Each school will develop its own plans which reflect the needs of its individual learners and the community which it serves. This seminar will consider the planning process from the perspective of the Local Authority. Calum MacSween, former Headteacher at Charleston Academy and currently Head of Education (Acting) in Highland Council will lead this seminar. He will consider, with participants, the building blocks of curriculum design and the flexibility which comes with Curriculum for Excellence. He will have a particular focus on the issues which are relevant to Local Authority planning and consider how Local Authorities can develop frameworks within which their schools can plan. Delegates will have the opportunity to consider and discuss the issues raised. |
