Understanding wind power (S1-S2)

Introduction

Eastwood High School in Glasgow has a roll of approximately 1000 pupils and caters for 10 S1 classes.

The school's Science department recently undertook a project to help the S1 pupils understand wind power as a renewable energy source. The main task involved pupils designing and creating their own working windmills.

This project was used to teach the ISC Energy section of the curriculum at the end of the first term.
