The Celtic Band

Introduction

This project involved the Royston Language Unit and Smithycroft Secondary School in Glasgow. Pupils from the Language Unit visited the Secondary School to hear a performance by the School Celtic Band and to perform their own dance and a 'Tam o' Shanter Chase'.

The Enterprise Education Officer and Principal Teacher of World of Work were involved as facilitators of the event.

The project took place in January 2007 and again in February 2008, and was linked to activities in the Celtic Connections programme.
