A sunscreening partnership project: South Ayrshire Council

Our aim

As part of a two-year sunproofing project supported by Big Lottery Fund, families and nurseries in North Ayr were provided with support to reduce sunburn in babies and pre-school children. The long-term aim was to reduce the incidence of skin cancer.

The project ran from January 2004 to June 2006 and was managed by the NHS in partnership with local pharmacies, and education and community representatives.
