Focus of case study - Mysteries Inc: Mystery of The Mary Celeste

This case study provides an in-depth look at one of the 11 participating schools in Mysteries Inc. The school, St Margaret’s RCPS, chose to investigate the Mystery of the Mary Celeste and constructed a debate on the existing theories surrounding its disappearance.
The case study exemplifies the following aspects of Building the Curriculum 3:
- development of the four capacities
- opportunities to develop skills for learning, life and work through strong links with the business community
- strong emphasis on interdisciplinary learning and opportunities for personal achievement
- second level draft experiences and outcomes are used for planning
