The school believes that this project was very successful and helped to make transition from nursery into primary much easier.

Amongst the successes noted by staff were:

  • joint working and planning
  • active learning and motivation
  • catering for individuals
  • children understanding the purpose of play
  • informed parents responding positively
  • positive relationships with children
  • links between sectors
  • recognition of links between subject areas
  • bringing of school and community closer together
  • use of the outdoors as a resource to extend the learning environment
  • very tasty home-made soup!
