Benefits
- This mini-project provided a context for strengthening transition from nursery into Primary 1.
- Most of the nursery children knew the school and the surrounding area well.
- Activities were carried out in the nursery, school classroom, playground, nursery garden, paddock and local environment, taking full advantage of all of the areas and space available.
- The children were excited when taking part in the project and were disappointed when it ended.
- It was found that the children were not reluctant to play outside in the rain due to the availability of waterproof suits and wellington boots, some of which were acquired from local charity shops.
- The children learned to share resources, co-operate, and help each other as they played and learned together.
