Online primary classroom for 'Homecoming' year

Introduction

2009 is an important year for Scotland. It's the year of Homecoming and a time when schools can focus topic work on Scotland's rich history, culture and heritage. The Homecoming online classroom was developed within Glow to support primary teachers in teaching topics related to Homecoming.

With so many primary schools using Homecoming as an excellent stimulus for topic work, the online classroom has been effective in enabling teachers to work together in all aspects of their work.

Homecoming is an ideal topic for interdisciplinary learning because it covers so many areas, and the online classroom is allowing teachers to share ideas, planning and resources to really bring this topic to life.
