Cathkin Community Nursery hired Films Media Company (a professional film crew) to work alongside the nursery children.

Project aims

To foster the children’s curiosity, develop their creative thinking skills and their knowledge and understanding of the processes required to make a film. 

These experiences provided opportunities to encourage pupils to:

• use technology for learning
• relate to others and manage themselves
• promote self-worth
• be creative and expressive
• communicate in different ways and in different situations.

These opportunities and experiences promote the four capacities of Curriculum for Excellence, enabling children to become successful learners, confident individuals, responsible citizens and effective contributors.
