LGBT Youth Scotland was established in November 1989 by members of the LGBT community in Edinburgh and became a national organisation in April 2003. LGBT Youth Scotland is working towards the inclusion of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender young people in the life of Scotland.
The organisation provides a range of services and opportunities for young people, families and professionals which aim to increase awareness and confidence, as well as reducing isolation and intolerance. LGBT Youth Scotland supports Scotland's LGBT Youth Council - the network of LGBT young people - and the network of LGBT youth group leaders. The organisation has offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Dumfries.
