Websites for use with interactive whiteboards

Here is a selection of websites which contain activities suitable for use on an interactive whiteboard. Many of them lend themselves to use at various levels and age-groups, depending on the task you wish to set. Some, although designed for young learners of a native language, are suitable for use with older learners of a foreign language.

Quia allows a free 30-day trial period, but some local authorities pay for an authority-wide subscription. 

BBC Languages homepage contains learning resources, language courses, tips and games.

Enchanted Learning contains lots of activities in several languages.

Linguascope (used to be bonjour.org) offers many interactive language resources and online games, quizzes and activities.

Tiboo Parc - the 'jeux' on this French-language site are fun to play on the whiteboard.

Up To Ten contains '600 jeux et activités' - many of which make learning fun on an interactive whiteboard.

The Review Project - a two-year research project which looked at how interactive whiteboards are used in classrooms across the UK.

Teachers.Net - a US site providing support, information and online forums for teachers. An article by Dr Mary Ann Bell features her research into interactive whiteboards as part of her doctorate.
