Integrating employability skills at Motherwell College - Construction Crafts

Motherwell College currently delivers the Skills for Work Construction Crafts course at Intermediate 1 level to approximately 340 S3 and S4 school pupils, in partnership with both North Lanarkshire and South Lanarkshire Councils.

The course consists of five mandatory units:

• Brickwork
• Carpentry and Joinery
• Plumbing
• Painting and Decorating
• Employability Skills.

There is a choice of three additional units from seven other construction crafts, making a total of eight units. Each unit carries a half credit.
