Francesco, foreign language assistant from Italy

Francesco is from Italy and is working as a foreign language assistant in Glasgow. His first recording is from February.

In his February diary, he describes the difficulty he had when trying to open a bank account in Scotland. He also talks about the differences between Italian and Scottish teaching methods, and what it's like teaching a language which is quite different from English.

In his June diary, Francesco talks about the fact he has no classes and is concentrating on producing materials. He found the hardest part of being a student was at the beginning; it's easier now that he is used to the city and the language. He thinks his experiences here will help him to get a job back in Italy.
