Edgar, foreign language assistant from Venezuela

Edgar is from Venezuela and is working as a foreign language assistant in Glasgow.

In his November diary, he talks about the difficulty of finding accommodation, the interest which his pupils have in finding out about Spain and Latin America, and the friendliness of the people he has met in Scotland.

In his February diary, he talks about the British obsession with weather, and about difficult issues which assistants can face, such as the balance between discipline and a good relationship with the students.

In his June diary, Edgar says that his Higher and Advanced Higher classes have left, so he's now concentrating on promoting Spanish among first-year students. He talks about time passing quickly and the need to be organised in order to see and do everything you'd like.
