Céline is from France and works as a foreign language assistant in the east of Scotland.
In her November diary, she talks about arriving in Scotland, finding a flat, opening a bank account, and travelling in the Highlands.
In her February diary, she talks about handling discipline, and about a drama project her pupils did with the French Institute.
For her final diary in June, Céline says that her older pupils have left school and she's been really busy helping them to prepare for exams. She is now teaching the younger pupils, who all want to know lots of facts about her, such as whether she really does eat snails... She finishes by saying that her experience here will be very useful when she trains to be a teacher back home.
