Summary

This project aims to support Falkirk's nurseries and P1 classes in developing children's learning through the expressive arts. Its relevance to education for citizenship rests in the underlying philosophy of the project, the ethos it seeks to cultivate and its success in stimulating children's powers of self-expression. The project employs three expressive arts support teachers of drama, music and visual arts working predominantly in the P1 stage and a creativity nursery nurse, who work with nursery staff across a range of nursery provision.
