Dundee was one of the first local authorities to roll out Glow. The 'big bang' model was used insofar as all Dundee users (staff and pupils) were given access at the same time in April 2008 and got started right away by using Glow Mail.
There are 10 secondary establishments and nearly 40 primary schools in the authority. Some primaries also have nursery classes and there are some separate nurseries. The city is compact - about 10 miles in diameter - which is a great benefit both for accessing central CPD support and for network connectivity.
There is a sizeable ICT support team which is helping all sectors get the best from Glow.
