Crieff Road Pre-School achieved a fourth Eco Schools Green Flag Award in June 2004 and so became the first nursery in Scotland to achieve ‘permanent’ Eco Schools status.
Crieff Road Pre-School is situated just off the Crieff Road at the edge of the Fairfield Housing Estate in Perth. The school roll comprises 124 children aged 2 to 5 years. The nursery has been actively involved in Eco Schools since June 1997, achieving a first Green Flag Award in 1998.
The activities described highlight the key objectives of the Eco Schools programme in this school by using environmental issues as a vehicle to benefit the children and to make parents and the wider community more environmentally aware.
