Circus project engages early learners through Glow

The Circus project involved all pupils from P1 to P3 in St James's Primary School in Paisley.

In mixed-age groups the pupils were given roles as clowns, animals and acrobats, with each group researching their own topic. They met weekly as a team to plan the staging of the circus and their performances.

This was an interdisciplinary project incorporating learning in expressive arts, literacy and technologies.

The circus topic was an enterprising project, for example the children made their own joke books to sell to their parents at the opening evening.

This project gave the staff an opportunity to embed technology into everyday learning and teaching and to use Glow to engage the learners.
