Shared Events

Scottish CILT Outreach Conference (Glasgow)

The conference programme will concentrate on aspects of Curriculum for Excellence and will form a major part of the strategy for engagement and implementation. It will include:

  • Transition – how will CfE assist in the development of programmes in the upper primary and early secondary years?

  • Links between first and second languages – how can modern languages teachers effectively build on pupils' first language skills and help to develop overall literacy?

  • HMIE – the modern languages inspectorate team will continue their very valuable input and dialogue on themes related to effective learning and teaching and CfE.

In addition, we intend to provide a short list of further topics which can be chosen to reflect particular needs in particular areas of the country.
