Grounds for Learning Accredited Facilitator

This professional training course will concentrate in more detail on facilitating individual school grounds / early years outdoors projects, including surveying techniques, drawing up plans and management & maintenance.  The techniques and ideas will be appropriate for work in schools and early years settings, and will provide a process of developing outdoor spaces which involves the whole school community.

This course is most commonly undertaken by professionals who wish to become formally accredited by Grounds for Learning, although some have taken part simply as an additional professional development opportunity.

Following this initial course, participants have the option to undertake a two-part assessment if they would like to achieve accreditation with GfL:

  • Written assessment in chosen baseline sector (school grounds or early years outdoors)
  • Practical assessment - evaluated site visit and follow-up report with a school or early years setting
