Love makes them happy – Primary Schools Research in Falkirk

This is a report on a consultation with primary school pupils in Falkirk about aspects of their sexual health and relationships education.

The aim was to find out about what the children know, their levels of understanding and what they would like to know more about.

Children’s understanding and reactions to the following topics are also discussed:

• Images of relationships
• Contraception, pregnancy and birth
• Physical and emotional changes in growing up
• P4/5 girls’ and boys’ questions
• Relationships represented in photographs
