Local Authority village

In keeping with the partnership aspect of the Scottish Learning Festival, LTS was delighted that the Local Authority Village returned in 2008.

Local authorities have a key role to play in Scottish education and delegates were able to discuss the strategies and resources developed by each local authority to meet the needs of learners across the country.

Particular focus was on key national developments, for example Assessment is for Learning, CPD Scotland, Curriculum for Excellence, Determined to Succeed, Glow and International Education, although a number of other resources were available for delegates to discuss with the local authorities' own officers.
