Heritage Education Forum
The Heritage Education Forum comprises representatives from national cultural organisations in Scotland. Together they hold, conserve, enable and promote access to our collections, buildings, historic and natural environments. HEF aims to share information and best practice; establish active partnerships across the heritage sector; ensure more effective use of resources for all learners; and promote the value of and increase access to heritage learning.

Scottish Book Trust
Literature in Learning is a national network, comprising Scotland’s Literature and Language organisations. The aim of the network is to support the creative use of language and literature in Scottish Schools. The organisations which are part of Literature in Learning place education at the heart of their provision – leading to an enormous and diverse range of services, resources, CPD and information for use in schools and libraries.
To make it easier for teachers to find the right support for their pupils, we have published the Literature in Learning ABC Guide (PDF format) on the Scottish Book Trust website. This handy leaflet is organised alphabetically and gives details of the range of services provided by the Literature Sector and contact details for all of the organisations.
Scottish Music Centre
The Scottish Music Centre is both a public service and a membership organisation, based in the City Halls, Glasgow. The Centre actively promotes our country's new music both at home and worldwide. A key element of the Centre's work is the Education and Outreach Programme.
Our education team is dedicated to bringing music to life using dynamic approaches to tutoring and assisted learning.
Composer Sessions
Young adults have the chance to meet recognised composers as they discuss the process of writing music.
Composition Chart
Aiming to champion composition/song-writing by encouraging students aged 12 and over to share, listen to, enjoy and learn from the work of others. See the fully interactive area of the website.
Experience Days
A chance for school children to have fun learning how to compose their own piece of music using music technology software (currently Garageband).
