The Scottish Government Schools Directorate stand will provide an opportunity for delegates to discuss cutting edge issues in policy. In addition to information on Health and Nutrition, Parental Involvement and the Education Awards, this year's stand will include a 'Talking Point' zone. This zone will be used to promote discussion, at set times, on how the Curriculum for Excellence fits with Qualifications, Skills, Early Years, Support for Learning, etc. Look out for the timings in your delegate bags of what's happening and when. Developments within the education will be showcased throughout the festival both in seminar presentations and the new Learning in Practice area in Hall 2.

Just as learning and teaching are at the heart of an effective curriculum, Learning and Teaching Scotland is at the heart of all the major developments in Scottish education – moving education forward in partnership with local authorities and schools. As the lead organisation in supporting the implementation of national developments in education including the Curriculum for Excellence, Assessment is for Learning and Glow (formerly known as SSDN), this is your chance to meet our development officers in informal sessions to find out more. Staff will also be on hand to provide information about the wide range of resources, including publications, software and online resources, available from Learning and Teaching Scotland.
