Scottish Learning Festival 2007: September 19-20

The Scottish Learning Festival 2007 sets a new benchmark

With more seminars, more exhibitors, more features and more delegates than ever before, the 2007 festival was our most successful yet. It is now firmly established as the pivotal event on the Scottish Education calendar and was attended over the two days by nearly 7,000 educationalists from Scotland, the rest of the UK and overseas.

Delegates enjoyed an extensive conference programme, a dynamic exhibition and a wealth of materials in the new Learning in Practice area, which together showcased the exciting and innovative practice that is abundant within the Scottish educational community. Delegates also had the opportunity to hear about new initiatives and approaches to teaching and learning from across the world, as the Scottish Learning Festival continued to develop its international profile.

Video

The archive of keynote videos and interviews with keynote speakers is still available to remind you of the issues raised, that are still relevant today.

Exhibition

Complementing the conference programme and the Learning in Practice area, the largest educational exhibition in Scotland showcased products and resources to assist those involved in all aspects of education. Thousands of delegates explored the exhibition floor over the two days taking the time to discover, try and test, and compare all the latest products and resources that support education in Scotland today. The central point of the exhibition was the Scottish Education Village; home to Learning and Teaching Scotland, the Scottish Government Education Directorate, the SQA and HMle. Endlessly popular was the Learning and Teaching Zone that featured a combination of workshops and exciting demonstrations by pupils over the two days.
