The British Council supports schools, teachers and pupils to engage with a wide variety of international education opportunities. Programmes include school linking within Europe and further afield, developing the global dimension, and short- or medium-term continuing professional development opportunities.

IDEAS

IDEAS is a Scottish Development Education network of more than 40 organisations that actively promote and support education for global citizenship in the formal and informal sector. Members range from small charities to large international development NGOs and specialist education centres.

The Scottish Continuing International Professional Development (SCIPID) Programme provides the opportunity for educationalists to develop practice through a variety of International Study Visits and the Catalonia Teacher exchange programme. Come along and find out more.

The Scottish Churches’ China Group is an ecumenical organisation set up to support education and health projects in China. In Scotland it works to encourage an interest in China and to develop knowledge and understanding about that country.

The Scottish European Educational Trust

The Scottish European Educational Trust aims to promote and encourage education about Europe to students at schools, colleges universities throughout Scotland. Events include an annual Euroquizz or primary schools, a Speaking Competition for secondary schools and a Speakers’ Service.
