As part of the Scottish Learning Festival we are pleased to promote complementary activities that are being held in the Glasgow Science Centre. An education programme for teachers will run throughout the two days of the conference, within the Glasgow Science Centre. Details of activities can be found in the SETT programme.
SETT teacher delegates will gain free access to the Glasgow Science Centre and are able to participate in the education programme that will run each day. For pupils the education package prices are £4 or £6 for a visit to the mall and one activity or two activities respectively. Places can be booked through the education bookings line on 0141 420 5003. If it is not feasible to book in advance then group visits can be purchased on the day at the ticket desk.
SETT has a growing worldwide reputation with SETT 2004 attracting delegates from every continent. We will once again welcome colleagues from across the globe at this year's Scottish Learning Festival. Details of a reception for overseas delegates will be announced nearer the event.
To facilitate discussion, debate and networking, Round Table discussion groups will be introduced for the first time at SETT 2005. These informal sessions will provide you with the opportunity to discuss key educational topics or issues with other delegates. A listing of all Round Table discussion topics and times will be available from August 2005.
SETT 2005 has a distinct European theme and features a selection of seminars which highlight best practice and international links in language teaching including French, German, Gaelic and Spanish. Look out for the * symbol throughout the programme.
