Radiowaves – The world is Listening to Schools in Fife

Seminar Description

Over the past three years schools in Fife have been working in partnership with Leeds based company radiowaves to set up a network of on line internet radio stations in primary and secondary schools across the authority. To date 120 schools have signed upto the project over 1100 programes have been made and over 1000 young people are honing there skills as the broadcasters of the future.

In their presentation pupils from a number of Fife schools, show you how easy it is to get started with Radiowaves and the huge range of topics and activivties that can be covered in this enterprise rich environment.

Also illustrated are the skills learned by young people including IT skills, writing and presentation skills, team work and generally having fun working in the media. Links to Curricullum for Excellence, Out of Schools Hours Learning and Enterprise Education will also be highlighted by Fife's talented young presenters.
