Seminar Description

Pupils from St Patrick’s Primary School in Greenock will be explaining how they use learnnewsdesk@LTScotland, the exciting online news service specially developed by the Guardian and LTS. The site contains all the latest news from Scotland and around the world – written in both English and Gaelic – along with classroom activities for primary and secondary schools. The pupils from St Patrick’s will be explaining how the site has helped them raise their attainment by encouraging a daily reading habit and placing lessons in a real-life context. With a highly interactive design, learnnewsdesk also allows pupils to submit their own stories and comments which can be published online.
