| Seminar Description | The Science draft experiences and outcomes were published on the LTS website in September 2007. Practitioners in local authorities, establishments and a wide range of stakeholders have had the opportunity to consider these draft experiences and outcomes and associated cover paper alongside their existing practice. In this session the speaker will provide an update on the Science draft experiences and outcomes, including the various aspects of the engagement process and the emerging key issues. Participants will be able to learn about interesting and innovative practices which have been highlighted through the engagement process and will have an opportunity to share their views. |

| Speaker biography | I have been seconded to Learning and Teaching Scotland for two years as a Science Development Officer from my substantive post as Faculty Head of Science in Montrose Academy. I began my career in St Ninian’s High School, Kirkintilloch and moved to the east coast twelve years ago. During this time I have supported science in primary schools and have led AiFL projects within my cluster. I have also taken forward different learning and teaching strategies within the science department at Montrose which has enabled me to share my work with teachers from other schools and authorities. |
