| Seminar Description | Within the context of assessment is for learning and curriculum for excellence, this seminar considers the process of involving P7 children, teachers, parents and local authority staff in reporting at the end of primary education and the transference of information to support learning in S1. I am currently awaiting confirmation from a Scottish local authority that I can work with a secondary school and several associated primary schools. With their support, I am hopeful that the seminar will draw upon the methodology used for actively involving children in the process, self-reflection from teachers on what/how they report, what different 'groups' want from an end of P7 report and what they actually use; how wider achievement is recognised and how this information can continue to support learning within the broad outcomes of curriculum for excellence. |
